Key technical and operational challenges included building a voice AI system capable of conducting natural, dynamic interviews instead of rigid scripted interactions. The platform needed to listen to candidate responses, understand context, and generate relevant follow-up questions in real time. Transforming conversational interviews into structured candidate evaluations was another major hurdle, requiring AI models to map responses against role-specific competencies and scoring frameworks. The infrastructure also had to support multi-tenant organizations, recruiter dashboards, and scalable voice pipelines capable of handling many simultaneous interviews while maintaining accuracy, reliability, and enterprise-grade performance.
The project began by mapping the hiring workflow and identifying where AI could streamline repetitive screening interviews while keeping final decisions with human recruiters. The team designed a voice-based interview system that allowed candidates to interact with an AI interviewer in real time through a simple link. Engineers built a voice pipeline combining speech recognition, language models, and speech synthesis to support natural conversations. A scalable backend managed candidate profiles, job descriptions, and interview evaluations. Recruiter dashboards and analytics tools were introduced to help hiring teams review candidate performance, compare applicants using standardized metrics, and accelerate early-stage hiring decisions.
