PinPoint was designed to rethink how companies source talent by transforming referrals into an open, incentive-driven marketplace. Instead of relying on costly recruitment agencies, companies could post roles with clear cash bounties, while professionals monetized their networks by making trusted introductions. The platform unified job discovery, referral tracking, and payouts into a single system. By combining automation, gamification, and social sharing, PinPoint enabled companies to access higher-quality candidates while rewarding users for meaningful referrals - creating a self-reinforcing hiring ecosystem.
Traditional referral programs are difficult to manage, lack transparency, and fail to scale. PinPoint needed to track referrals accurately, prevent spam, and ensure rewards were tied to successful hires. Automating job ingestion from company career pages introduced challenges around data extraction, categorization, and validation. Additionally, the platform required reliable tracking across social shares, nominations, and conversions, while maintaining a smooth experience for users, admins, recruiters, and employers.
The project began with marketplace flow design for users, companies, and administrators. The engineering team built referral tracking logic with unique links and nomination flows, supported by real-time leaderboards to drive engagement. Automated scraping pipelines were introduced to ingest and categorize job listings at scale. Admin dashboards enabled job curation, recruiter assignment, and outreach campaigns. Payment and performance tracking ensured transparency across referrals and hires. The system was built on scalable infrastructure to support rapid growth without increasing operational overhead.



PinPoint enabled companies to access pre-vetted candidates through trusted networks while significantly reducing recruitment costs. Users were incentivized to make quality introductions, driving organic growth and higher engagement. Automation allowed the platform to scale job listings and referrals without scaling internal teams.
