With a UX inspired by modern education and investing apps, Nvest made exploring markets and testing investment strategies intuitive, safe, and rewarding - equipping users to make better financial choices.
Creating a flexible system for modular, adaptive learning required sophisticated logic for progress tracking and AI-based content branching. Implementing engaging, meaningful market and portfolio simulations - without risk - demanded a strong, real-time backend and nuanced financial modeling. Ensuring robust user management and privacy, while offering gamified assessments and peer benchmarks, presented additional technical and UX design hurdles. The team also had to align educational best practices and compliance with rapidly changing investing regulations and the diverse literacy levels of new users.
The team’s work began with interviews of finance educators, novice investors, and experienced traders to shape modules that would motivate and empower learners. Engineers designed an interactive flow with unit-based quizzes, scenario branches, and investment “games” that mirrored real-world decision points. AI engines analyzed each learner’s progress and adjusted the module path, surfacing more practice in weaker areas. Market simulators were integrated with live data feeds for authenticity. User privacy, compliance, and onboarding requirements were validated through pilot launches and feedback sessions. Rapid iteration in collaboration with content and gamification experts produced a highly adaptive platform that scales from absolute beginner to aspiring investor.
Nvest significantly improved user engagement as first-time investors advanced quickly through hands-on learning.
